Amber International Bolsters Blockchain Strategy With $25.5M Private Placement
VISI.NEWS | BANDUNG - Amber International Holding, a subsidiary of the crypto trading firm Amber Group, has secured $25.5 million through a private placement to scale its $100 million Crypto Ecosystem Reserve. The initiative, aimed at supporting long-term blockchain infrastructure development, has received backing from notable investors including Pantera Capital, CMAG Funds, and Kingkey Financial International.
The funding round was priced at $10.45 per share—roughly a 5% discount from Amber's recent average trading price—and involved the issuance of over 12 million Class A shares, representing about 2.44 million American Depositary Shares (ADSs) listed on Nasdaq.
Launched earlier this year, the Crypto Ecosystem Reserve targets strategic growth across blockchain platforms. Amber has already allocated capital to major cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana. The fund now extends its coverage to Binance Coin, Ripple’s XRP, and Sui.
According to the company, the reserve aims to align Amber with blockchain developers and protocols by providing financial support, liquidity, and potential product assistance. This strategy responds to rising institutional interest in asset tokenization and innovations like AgentFi, which leverages smart contracts to automate financial services.
Amber’s expansion reflects a growing trend among crypto firms to build resilient treasury frameworks. As traditional venture capital activity slows, such initiatives are seen as crucial for maintaining ecosystem health and fostering long-term innovation. @ffr
