VISI.NEWS | BANDUNG - Dogecoin (DOGE) is back in the spotlight after bouncing decisively from the lower boundary of its multi-month trading channel, sparking renewed bullish sentiment across the market. This technical rebound comes amid a 15.78% surge in Open Interest, now standing at $2.09 billion, along with a staggering 402% jump in Options trading volume — clear signs that traders are betting on further gains.
At present, DOGE is pushing upward from the critical $0.13-$0.15 demand zone. Technical indicators bolster the case for a continued rally: the stochastic RSI has climbed past the 80 threshold, typically a precursor to extended bullish moves. Analysts are eyeing resistance near $0.19, with a successful breakout potentially clearing the path toward $0.26.
Yet, DOGE remains constrained beneath a descending trendline. A decisive daily close above this resistance could validate the bullish setup and unlock more aggressive upside. Until then, Dogecoin continues to navigate between historical support and dynamic resistance levels, leaving bulls with the task of sustaining buying momentum.
Whale activity appears to support this positive narrative. After weeks of outflows, DOGE has recorded a net inflow of $8.23 million, indicating that large holders are once again accumulating. Historically, such inflows have often preceded bullish reversals or medium-term rallies, lending weight to the current technical rebound.
Further strengthening this outlook, Dogecoin’s MVRV Z-score — a metric assessing market value versus realized value — has climbed to 0.355 after brushing near historical lows. Although this figure remains below the typical bullish zone, its recovery suggests downside risks are easing. This improvement might tempt sidelined investors back into the market, applying additional upward pressure.
Still, not all indicators are flashing green. Despite DOGE’s price surge, on-chain network activity has sharply declined. Daily active addresses have dropped to 33,700 and transactions to 14,800 as of July 3, a stark contrast to the levels above 500,000 seen just two weeks ago. This tapering interest from retail participants poses a challenge to the sustainability of the rally.
However, analysts caution that for Dogecoin, price often leads network activity — not the reverse. Thus, if the current bullish impulse holds, a lagged pickup in user engagement could soon follow.
Ultimately, the near-term fate of DOGE rests on whether bulls can breach the descending resistance line at $0.19 with convincing volume. If successful, the door may open toward the $0.26 target. Until then, while whale flows and improved sentiment metrics offer hope, cautious optimism remains the guiding theme. @ffr
